Terms of Service

1. Agreement
DeadlineShield ("the Service") is operated by dietsoda.dev. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What DeadlineShield is
DeadlineShield helps you record court and legal deadlines for your matters and sends reminders as those dates approach. It is a scheduling and reminder tool — a backstop for your own calendaring, not a replacement for it.
3. Not legal advice — you remain responsible
DeadlineShield is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or calculate jurisdictional deadlines for you. You are solely responsible for entering the correct dates, for verifying every deadline against the applicable rules, and for meeting your filing obligations. Reminders can be delayed or fail to deliver for reasons outside our control (email/carrier issues, outages). Do not rely on the Service as your only safeguard against a missed deadline.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the matter and deadline information you enter. It is stored in your account, visible only to you, and you can delete it at any time. See the Privacy Policy for details.
5. Accounts
Provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
6. Billing & cancellation
Paid plans are billed through Stripe and renew automatically each billing period. You can cancel any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
7. Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer the Service, resell access without permission, or attempt to disrupt or overload the Service.
8. Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, including any warranty that reminders will be delivered on time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, dietsoda.dev is not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including a missed deadline — and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated Terms.
